What's going on in Pennsylvania......

Being a younger lifter I wasn't around when Pennsylvania was flourishing. What was a state of 400+ lifters every year dwindled down to 207 in 2000. And it wasn't the fact that times have changed and lifters weren't here. I believe this so much that I am involved with Pennsylvania Powerlifting all the way from Poughkeepsie, NY. You can't tell me that we just lost our touch.

I took over as state chair in February of this year and here are some of my goals

Upcoming USA Powerlifting contests in Pennsylvania:
September 8th - Judgement Day BP Championships - Dunmore, Pennsylvania
October 20th - Ironman/Ironwoman BP & DL Championships - New Freedom, Pennsylvania
November 17th - NE Regional Powerlifting Championships - Williamsport, Pennsylvania
January 2002 Pennsylvania HS/Collegiate State Championships - Morgan Town, Pennsylvania
March 30-31, 2002 Pennsylvania State Open Powerlifting Championships - Dunmore, Pennsylvania

Other things:
USAPL Pennsylvania is getting involved with is supporting the Special Olympics Pennsylvania Powerlifting Program. We need judges and volunteers to come help this great organization. They are holding events October through November all over Pennsylvania The schedule and contact e-mails can be found by clicking here.
